Enhancing Western Gateway Park Since 2018
Our mission at the Western Gateway Park Foundation is simple – to build a better Western Gateway Recreation & Park District through fundraising and contributions to the Foundation. To make a one-time or recurring donation to the foundation, to support general park operations. A receipt will be emailed to you. Formed in 2018 to support this mission, our fundraising efforts focus on improving the health and beauty of Western Gateway Park, increasing community use of this beautiful park, and fostering projects that provide multi-age recreational benefits.
Learn More
DonateWestern Gateway Recreation & Park District is a state Special District, yet it does not receive any funding from the State of California or the County of Nevada. The District’s revenue is generated through rental activity at WGP and a parcel fee of $12.94 approved by District voters. Since approval the purchasing power of this fee has decreased to $7.08 which makes balancing the budget a challenge, and leaves little remaining funds for major maintenance and capital improvements so essential to the ongoing health and beauty of Western Gateway Park.
When you collaborate with the Foundation – either through a monetary donation, becoming a Foundation member, or participating in one of the Foundation’s fundraising opportunities – you are contributing to the Foundation’s mission while also ensuring that the Western Gateway Recreation & Park District continues to thrive and that Western Gateway Park remains The Jewel of Penn Valley.
The Western Gateway Park Foundation, Inc. is a California Public Benefit Corporation, organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donations and contributions are tax-deductible!
