Become a Western Gateway Park Foundation Legacy Club Member
The Gateway Park “LEGACY CLUB” is being formed by the Western Gateway Park Foundation for concerned citizens who wish to support Gateway Park's future in Penn Valley.
This special group will consist of members who donate $1,000 or more. These funds will help the park reach a properly funded state, enabling it to be maintained in adequate condition. Currently, the Park is grossly underfunded and cannot continue to serve its district to adequately maintain all 88 acres.
The Legacy Club members wish to express their desire to provide the Park with an adequate funding stream to maintain and upgrade the Park. This will be accomplished through a parcel tax measure for property owners in our special district, as well as through grant funding for new or refurbished infrastructure.
Anyone can donate any amount to this cause; however, the Legacy Club designation will go to those Individuals, families, or businesses that donate $1,000 or more at one time. For the first 100 members, a $50 credit towards a shirt designed by Expressive Designs Boutique in Penn Valley will be issued with the Legacy Club logo. We hope these shirts will be worn with pride, knowing you have helped keep the park going into the future. You will also be entered into a drawing for a free E-bike donated by Sierra E-bike in Penn Valley.
Without these special people stepping in to save the park, the future is in question. The county does not fund the park! Citizens in our “special district” fund the park, and therefore, it is up to us to keep it in a sustainable funding situation. We need this funding to get an initiative on the ballot, and we know that there are 100 people who feel the same as we do to save the park and properly fund the future maintenance of the park.
